Updates

I don't have a whole lot of time, but I don't want to lose my faithful readers so I figured I better blog real quick.

Here's a few highlights:

actually this is a lowlight - I have an ear infection. This is the third one in 4 months. So once again I'm on antibiotics and I'm hoping that this go around kicks the infection.

On Saturday Jadon and I went to Provo, Utah and watched the Wyoming vs. BYU football game. Wyoming got stomped, but it was still fun. I have to admit that I people watched way more than I football watched. You see all sorts of people at big events like that. Somehow the 6 largest men in the stadium all managed to purchase tickets for seats in the same row. They were in the row right in front of us and it's a wonder they managed to stay on the bleachers for the entire game. That row was busting at the seams. Maybe they were the backup players for BYU or Wyoming.

Yesterday Jadon and I ran 12 miles. We're getting ready for a 1/2 marathon in Pinedale, WY on Saturday. When we started I thought, "I might poop out at mile 8 or 10" but I actually felt better at the end of the run than I did at the begining. I even had energy to spare after the run.

  Absolute trust and complete responsibility.  Those are the words that comes to mind when I think about my third birth.   After 5 years of praying for another baby, 1 miscarriage, 3 chemical pregnancies, stepping into foster care and raising other babies; we wondered when God would answer our prayer. He finally did.  Let’s go back… on September 24th, 2018, God showed me that we would have another child. We had been praying and trying for baby #3 for four months at this point.   Years of trying, praying and waiting came after.  In August of 2021 after a season of pleading with God, He told me that we would be expecting in the next month.  God was faithful and sure enough I saw a positive pregnancy test at the end of September.   This pregnancy started with absolute trust in the promises God had given me. The first promise came with this verse, “Now to Him who is able to do far more than all we ask or think according to the power at work within us, to Him be the Glory…” - Ephesians 3:2

back-up, my back-up, my back-up plan!

We arrived at the campground where we would be staying outside of Moab and discovered this little sign....ummm... "Mr, Sign-Maker, Dustless is impossible in Moab, please remove your sign." I'm displaying my newly bought gluten free wares from inside our lovely itty-bitty cabin Our tinie (tempah) little cabin.  The town Saloon! The small "kitchen" area of our cabin.  Very tiny, but cozy...the beds weren't exactly comfy though.  just reliving my childhood  Jadon eating lunch outside while the Tahoe guzzles gas, it was cloudy a lot, so whenever the sun did appear we took advantage of it. A Melody That Sounds Like a Memory

Have you ever been given a gift that you didn’t even know you needed; however upon receiving it you realized it was exactly what you needed?  I was recently given such a gift.  It was a gift that my soul needed.  A gift that some piece deep inside of me needed, and yet I was completely unaware of that need until it was met.  I was given a song and with that song an amazing memory.  Eric Church in his song “Springsteen” says, “It’s funny how a melody sounds like a memory.” Well I was given one of those melodies and I will forever be grateful. Let me start from the beginning and tell the story of this song and memory.  On August 28 th 2016 I found out I was expecting Baby Ross #2.  It was a Sunday which is a busy day for a Pastor’s family and not the best time to process news like, “Surprise, life is about to get crazier!”  Over the next few days however the excitement and joy of adding another member to our family began to creep in.  We started dreaming, picking out names we like
