HAVE HOPE!

Sometimes the things I hope for seem trivial (I HOPE the sun comes out today) , other times they seem insurmountable (I HOPE some one I love is completely healed)  I believe that God deeply cares about those little hopes and the massive hopes.  I don't think He ranks them like I do. 

In light of it being Easter weekend I was reading about HOPE.  After Jesus was crucified, HOPE was the only thing HIS follower had to cling to.  In much of life HOPE is all that I have to cling to as well.  As I read some verses about HOPE, 1 specific passage really stood out to me. 

Lamentations 3:20-24 says, "I will never forget this awful time, as I grieve over my loss.  Yet I still dare to HOPE when I remember this: The unfailing love of the Lord never ends! By His mercies we have been kept from complete destruction. Great is His faithfulness, His mercies begin fresh each day.  I say to myself, 'The Lord is my inheritance, therefore I will HOPE in Him.'"

We all have those "awful times" of great loss & yet we can still HOPE because we have a God who rose from the dead on the third day!

Absolute Trust & Complete Responsibility

  Absolute trust and complete responsibility.  Those are the words that comes to mind when I think about my third birth.   After 5 years of praying for another baby, 1 miscarriage, 3 chemical pregnancies, stepping into foster care and raising other babies; we wondered when God would answer our prayer. He finally did.  Let’s go back… on September 24th, 2018, God showed me that we would have another child. We had been praying and trying for baby #3 for four months at this point.   Years of trying, praying and waiting came after.  In August of 2021 after a season of pleading with God, He told me that we would be expecting in the next month.  God was faithful and sure enough I saw a positive pregnancy test at the end of September.   This pregnancy started with absolute trust in the promises God had given me. Haviland Trip To See The Twinsies

I've been home from vacation for 4 days and I still can't seem to get into the swing of every day life. It hasn't helped that I upon arrival home I promptly got sick. All week I've been wanting to blog about the trip, but I've been too sick to even want to type. I think I'm on the tale end of the sickies though and I finally feel up to entering the blog world again. So since being on vacation to see Jadon's family was far more exciting than my current status I'll stop piddling around with boring info about post-trip-blahs. Jadon and I headed out to Haviland KS (where he grew up) at 2:00 a.m. on Monday morning. Ya, 2:00 a.m. is craziness, but so is trying to fit a 14 hour drive into 1 day. So if we're going for crazy, we'll just go all the way. I actually slept for the first 5 hours of the trip while Jadon tore through more miles than was probably legal.
