New Ventures

My newest venture is joining the Community Choir in Kemmerer. The first practice was on Sunday night. Choir practice is held at the Mormon Church and the majority of the members are mormon, which is a little different to me. If I didn't know any better I would think they were Christians. They are very kind, they open and close practice with prayer they sing some traditional Christian hymns. However I know that they don't believe that Jesus is God and they don't believe in Salvation. It's amazing to me how Satan really does come as an "angel of light". Mormons seem so right yet they are so wrong . Satan doesn't have to elude people with dark, evil, and sinister things. He just has to destort the truth and present it in a desirable form and he's won.
I think the biggest challenge of being a part of the choir is not going to be the music but the people. I hope that they can see something different in me and wonder what it is.

My next to newest venture is memorizing one verse in every book the Bible. I think I mentioned that Jadon and I are taking a Bible Instruction course in Rock Springs every week. Anyways part of the class is to come up with and do a project that either involves what we are learning or ministry. The first three weeks of class have been an overview of every book of the Bible and so I decided that one of my projects is going to be memorizing one (0r two in some cases) verse for every book of the Bible. I memorized my first verse this morning. So here I go!

  Absolute trust and complete responsibility.  Those are the words that comes to mind when I think about my third birth.   After 5 years of praying for another baby, 1 miscarriage, 3 chemical pregnancies, stepping into foster care and raising other babies; we wondered when God would answer our prayer. He finally did.  Let’s go back… on September 24th, 2018, God showed me that we would have another child. We had been praying and trying for baby #3 for four months at this point.   Years of trying, praying and waiting came after.  In August of 2021 after a season of pleading with God, He told me that we would be expecting in the next month.  God was faithful and sure enough I saw a positive pregnancy test at the end of September.   This pregnancy started with absolute trust in the promises God had given me. The first promise came with this verse, “Now to Him who is able to do far more than all we ask or think according to the power at work within us, to Him be the Glory…” - Ephesians 3:2

back-up, my back-up, my back-up plan!

We arrived at the campground where we would be staying outside of Moab and discovered this little sign....ummm... "Mr, Sign-Maker, Dustless is impossible in Moab, please remove your sign." I'm displaying my newly bought gluten free wares from inside our lovely itty-bitty cabin Our tinie (tempah) little cabin.  The town Saloon! A Melody That Sounds Like a Memory

Have you ever been given a gift that you didn’t even know you needed; however upon receiving it you realized it was exactly what you needed?  I was recently given such a gift.  It was a gift that my soul needed.  A gift that some piece deep inside of me needed, and yet I was completely unaware of that need until it was met.  I was given a song and with that song an amazing memory.  Eric Church in his song “Springsteen” says, “It’s funny how a melody sounds like a memory.” Well I was given one of those melodies and I will forever be grateful. Let me start from the beginning and tell the story of this song and memory.  On August 28 th 2016 I found out I was expecting Baby Ross #2.  It was a Sunday which is a busy day for a Pastor’s family and not the best time to process news like, “Surprise, life is about to get crazier!”  Over the next few days however the excitement and joy of adding another member to our family began to creep in.  We started dreaming, picking out names we like
